CRAM welcomes the participation of the following organizations and companies:


 

 

Since the beggining, the Foundation CRAM has opted to work with others to strengthen their research and conservation projects. These are some of the partners who have worked with our veterinarians and biologists.

 

Centre de Recerca en Sanitat Animal – CRESA (Animal Health Research Center): private foundation dedicated to research and technological development in animal health in the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (Autonomous University of Barcelona). With this agreement, the CRESA facilities host the autopsies of the stranded animals that come to our shores.

 

Grupo de Química Marina de la Universidad de Las Palmas (Marine Chemistry Group, University of Las Palmas): university department with which CRAM carries out the the CarboOcean project to evaluate the C02 sources and sinks in the sea.

 

Institut de Ciències del Mar – ICM (Marine Science Institute): a referral center for scientific advice and management of marine ecosystems that form part of the 'Centre  Mediterrani d'Investigacions Marines i Ambientals' – CMIMA (Mediterranean Center for Marine and Environmental Research). CRAM and ICM had begun various lines of work such as tracking of jellyfish swarms, analysis of the feasibility of red coral transplantation and the study of changes occurring in the Mediterranean seabed.

 

Institut de Recerca i Tecnologia Agroalimentaria – IRTA (Agroalimentary Tecnology  Research Institute): research institute of the Generalitat de Catalunya. Their agreement with CRAM is focused on the study of the reproduction of catalan marine species.

 

Servei d'Ecopatologia Animals Salvatge – Sefas (Wild Animals Ecopathology Service): research group of the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona (Autonomous University of Barcelona) devoted to pathology and management of wildlife. CRAM and Sefas exchange information and carry out research and training.

 

Universitat de Barcelona – UB (Barcelona University):  educational agreement for college students practices.

 

Universidad Cardenal Herrera - CEU (Cardenal Herrera University): agreement between this Valencian college and CRAM for students who want to complete their university education.

 

Universidad de Vigo (Vigo University): practices agreement targeted to students of the Faculty of Sea Sciences.

 

West African Association for Marine Environment –WAAME: non-governmental organizationdedicated to conservation and management of marine ecosystems in Senegal. CRAM and WAAME develop a project on clinic and rescue of endangered marine species and economic dinamization of a rural area.

 

Cátedra UNESCO Territorio y Medio Ambiente - Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (UNESCO Chair in Environment and Territory - Universidad Rey Juan Carlos):

CRAM Foundation participates in the "Platform for Spanish Sea Turtles" and President Ferran Alegre is one of the experts consulted. The Platform for Spanish Sea Turtle borns with the intention of being the meeting point and the union between various initiatives and projects for the conservation of the loggerhead turtle all along Spain, so that it can unite the greater scientific-technical knowledge available for appropriate action. The ultimate goal: improving the conservation and management of this star species of our seas.
