OUR OBJECTIVES:

  • Developing a better understanding of the diseases and the medical treatment of marine species through non-invasive, painless techniques and a deep respect for the individual with the aim to release it to its natural habitat as soon as possible
  • Promoting research projects applied to the species breeding and habitat conservation in cooperation with other institutions.
  • Raising the awareness and improving the education through different communication techniques at all social levels aimed at fostering the conservation of the marine environment.
  • To create international cooperation projects with countries lacking the resources through the sharing of means and knowledge which contribute to the conservation and recovery of its biodiversity.

 

 

OUR GOALS:

  • ACTION: In our 16 years of existence, we have rescued and returned to their natural habitat more than 500 turtles, treated more than 400 dolphins and undertaken more than 50 scientific and conservation projects with the cooperation of more than 300 volunteers.
  • REPUTATION: We have attended many international conferences and we are members of the main conservation organizations (UICN, IAAAM, ECS...)
  • COVERAGE: Our activities have been covered extensively by the media, from national and autonomic televisions to radio and press, which has contributed decisively to our task of awareness-raising.
  • TRAINING: From the beginning, we have cooperated with the academic sector, having more than 30 university students undertaking stages in the CRAM Foundation every year.
  • PIONEERS: The CRAM Foundation was the first center for the rehabilitation of marine animals in the Mediterranean area.
  • MODEL: In our premises we train most of the professionals who work in other marine animal rehabilitation centers all over Europe.
  • RIGOR: For years, big corporations and governmental institutions have relied on us to undertake scientific and educational projects of uttermost importance:
