CRAM Foundation executes, through a contract with “La Direcció General de Medi Natural del Departament de Medi Ambient I habitatge de la Generalitat de Catalunya”, recovering and rescue of every protected marine animals reaching the Catalan coast.

For this objective, CRAM has the technical and human infrastructure to keep an immediate response system, warranting the attendance, withdrawal and transport to the Rehabilitation Centre of cetaceans, sea turtles, elasmobranches and other protected marine species.

Ever since its inception, CRAM Foundation has assisted a large number of endangered species specimens:

• More than 500 sea turtles has been recovered and released
• It has done more than 300 stranding assistance of dolphins and whales
• More than 50 assistances of different sharks species

Rescue Actions:

• Small cetaceans
• Great cetaceans
• Elasmobranches
• Turtles-Actions with fishermen

Complex work is required to withdraw these huge animals
